I like Gamerio at Seville as well, though maybe he isn't even French seeing as he never gets a look in.

Just don't rate Giroud at all, though Griezmann and Martial will be a handy pairing.

I saw a French TV stream of a West Ham game a few weeks back and they called him PIE-YET. In fact the only people who seem to call him PIE-AY is West Ham fans, singing that song.

I fancy them this summer, although no Benzema is a loss....surprised to see Cabaye and Sissoko ahead of Schneiderlin and Ben Arfa

Special rules for proper nouns - the S in Lens gets full value, for example, even though the one in Calais doesn't.

Bit like Leicester or Cholmondeley.

Naturally, him being a French national I would and have done, pronounced it PAYAY.

I have also heard PIEYAY, PIEYET, PAYET and PIE'EEY.
